What is unique is that Bass Class focuses on teaching people how to catch fish. The best way to learn is to experience it first hand and that is exactly what you receive at Bass Class; hands on experience. The possibilities are endless; you can learn everything you have ever wanted to know about fishing and have a lot of fun doing it.

Bass Season is finally here! And what an amazing opening weekend it was in the Kawarthas (Zone 17)! Lots of hungry bass cruising around the shallows, and we managed to find some BIG spawned out females as well. Water temps are already over 70 deg, the bass fishing should keep getting better as the season progresses.

Spring Pike and Walleye action was incredible this year! The Pike stayed shallow right though to mid June, and the Walleye action on deep weedlines was hot! Thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy the early season Pike and Walleye (Pickerel), and Muskie in the Kawarthas, Orillia area, and Georgian Bay. Below are some pictures highlight the last couple months. Now bring on Bass Season!

Wow, what a fantastic start to the 2015 season! The water temps are just starting to hit the mid 60’s in most back bays, causing the spring Pike action to turn on! We found many back bays this weekend loaded with pike, catching 50+ hungry Pike per day, and finding a few monsters each day as well. Pike is only open on Georgian Bay, and Zone 17 (Kawartha Lakes). Kawarthas have more numbers per day, But Georgian Bay is your best bet for a Spring Monster!

Also, Cole Vardy is on the Spring Jumbo Perch Big time! Crushing the jumbos on Lake Simcoe. He had the opportunity to take out Jonas Valanciunas from the Toronto Raptors to join in on the action!

February 1st, 2015

Spring is on its way! Pike is now open year around in Zone 17 (Kawartha Lakes), as soon as the Ice is out, and the shallows start to warm up (usually end of April or first week of May), the Pike will be feeding heavily! Expect some incredible Spring Pike action this spring with the milder winter!

Walleye (Pickerel) season opens May 9th 2014 in Zone 17th (Kawartha Lakes, Central Ontario). The Walleye action is usually best during the first few weeks of season, as the male Walleye need to feed up after spawning. Then the bigger Females start turning on later into May and early June.

Bass Season is now open a WEEK EARLIER in Zone 17 (Kawartha Lakes)! Opening day for Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass is June 20th 2015. The first week will be amazing bass action! Reserve your day now.
Bass Season opens June 27th 2018 everywhere else (Georgian Bay, Lake Simcoe etc). Smallmouth action is second to none during the early post spawn season on the Big Water lakes.

Looking forward to a phenomenal 2015 fishing season!

September 15th 2014

This past weekend truly meant a lot to me. It was 17 years ago (age 11) when I fished my first tournament. It was a Junior Bassmaster event on Cameron Lake Fenelon Falls, ON. Tyler Waring and I won the tournament with 4.8lb Smallie as our kicker. This officially set my mind on becoming a successful Tournament Angler. The following year I fished my first Bassmania (CSFL) event; Cameron Lake BM100 Series, with my Dad. We weighed in 3 fish for about 6 lbs total (not sure where we placed, but it was near the bottom). Who knew that 16 years later, I would win my first Classic on the same Lake, in my hometown of Fenelon Falls! This year has been incredible, from achieving our second straight Team Of the Year title, to winning the National Classic (a lifelong dream and goal of mine). I couldn’t have asked to do it with a better fishing partner than Tom Hardy. Thanks everyone for all your support and kind words. Thanks to my sponsors Okuma, Live Target, Northland Tackle, Tuf Line, Ego Nets, and Salus Marine Wear. And special thanks to the Pallota Family, who work incredibly hard at promotion the sport of Fishing and organizing the best Tournament series in Ontario www.csfl.ca.

This is making the it easier to locate Walleye (Pickerel) cruising on the 9′ to 12′ weedlines. Pike are still very hungry, and lurking on the deeper weedlines and weedflats.
